The Colorado Republican Committee’s (CRC) Trailblazers Program is designed to emulate the National Republican Congressional Committee’s successful Young Guns Program, with the intent of assisting Republican candidates for the Colorado State Legislature in achieving fundamental campaign goals and benchmarks, navigating Colorado’s unique political landscape, and carving out viable paths to victory in November.
The assistance we provide to Republican candidates comes in many forms but it is premised entirely on collaboration between the CRC and each candidate and campaign. The better the collaboration, the greater the engagement and support campaigns will receive from the CRC. We strive to make every campaign better and improve chances of success. While we recognize that running for State Legislature is a difficult task, the mission of the Trailblazers program is to help candidates understand the basics, help outline campaign plans, answer questions and assist in achieving goals.
As each campaign establishes and continues to refine strategic campaign pillars, they will advance through each of the three Trailblazer Program’s tiers of achievement: On the Radar, Contender, and ultimately Trailblazer status. Progressing through each tier and eventually to Trailblazer status reflects your campaign’s ability to reach the key milestones that will lead to victory, as evaluated by CRC officials. The caliber of your campaign will be made available publicly and can prove to be attractive to outside groups and individuals looking for campaigns to assist.
